Today marks the official release of The Moral Chokehold, the powerful new album from New England metal band DEATH RATTLE. Available now both online and in stores, the record arrives following months of anticipation built through four advance singles, music videos, and tours across the U.S., Japan, and Europe.
The Moral Chokehold delivers a heavy, groove-driven metal experience shaped by producer Kevin Billingslea (Lamb of God, Trivium) and mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Kreator). Stunning cover art by Tamer Azab of The Dark Art in Dubai completes the package. The album is available in jewel case CD, limited-edition philosopher’s moon-colored vinyl (limited to 300 copies), and all major digital platforms.
With standout tracks like “Malthusian Dependency,” “Immersed in Black,” “The Darkness,” and “Nietzsche, and the Fall” — the latter featuring a guest appearance from Bjorn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra) — DEATH RATTLE has crafted an album blending groove, melody, and aggression.
“We are beyond stoked to release The Moral Chokehold,” says the band. “This album has been almost four years in the making. Creatively, this was a giant step forward for us. It has brought out a new energy in our live show, and we cannot wait for you all to hear this thing all the way through.”
Following a strong reception from radio outlets including SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal, DEATH RATTLE is now preparing for a European tour supporting Atheist and Origin this September and October — their second European run this year after sharing stages with Gorgoroth and Aeternus.
